Before treatment:
The patient’s vision during night was bad at the ago of 5 without any reasons. But his life was nromal during the dat. As time goes by, the patient had slight nystagmus, when he looked at something, there was spots around his vision field, so he went to hospital and diagnosed as  1. Retinitis Pigmentosa 2. Macular Degeneration, and he had regular treatment. 3 years ago, the patient’s condition became worse and worse and about 1 years ago, he could only see the outline of big objects, the central vision of his left eye was total lost. He want a better life, so he came to our center.

From the onset of disease, the patient still has good spirits. He has a normal diet and sleep. His urine and excrement were normal.

Admission PE:
Bp: 116/60mmHg; Hr: 64/min, Br: 18/min. BT: 36.5 degree. Height: 169cm, weight: 74kg. His growth and nutrition were normal, his skin mucosa was without hemorrhaging spots or yellow stains. His thorax was symmetrical. The respiration of both lungs was clear, without moist rales. The heart sound was strong, and the cardiac rhythm was regular. There was no obvious murmur in the valves. The abdomen was flat and soft, with no masses. The liver and spleen were normal. 

Nervous System Examination:
He was alert and his speech was clear. His memory, orientation and calculation  ability were normal. The diameter of eyes was 2.5mms, his right eye was insensitive to light reflex and his left eye was a little better. His left eye only had peripheral visual field, he could see finger moving at the distance of 10 cm in front of his left eye, but he couldn’t count the number of his fingers, his left eye could see indistinct figures at the distance of 3.5 meters. He could see finger moving at the distance of 15 cm in front of his right eye, but he couldn’t count the number of his fingers, his right eye could see indistinct figures at the distance of 3.0 meters. Both of his eyes lost part of the color sensation. Fundus examination: Right: The color of fundus was light yellow, AV ratio was 2:4, there were black floccus lees on ambitus. The optic papilla was white and macular area was unclear to see. Both of his eye could more freely, there was spontaneous nystagmus. The forehead wrinkle pattern was symmetrical. The nasolabial sulcus was equal in depth. The teeth were symmetrical and the tongue was centered. He could more his neck freely. The muscle strength, muscle tension and tendon reflex were normal. The pathological sign was negative. The deep and shallow sensation was normal. The coordinate movement was normal. The meningeal irritation sign was negative.

Treatment:
We gave him a complete examination and he was diagnosed with 1. Retinitis Pigmentosa 2. Macular Degeneration. He received 4 times of neural stem cell injection and 4 times of mesenchymal stem cell injection to fix the damaged cells and regenerate new cells, activate the cells, nourishes neurons, improve circulation, protect his immunity. He also had physical rehabilitation.

Post-treatment:
After the treatment, his spontaneous nystagmus was less. His vision was better, his right eye could see fingers at the distance of 40cm. His left eye could see fingers at the distance of 30 cm. He could see big object’s outline at the distance of 10 meters. He could see the colors better and differentiate some kinds. The fundus was light red, the black floccus lees were less.
