Before treatment:
The patient felt stiffness of right feet 7 years ago, it was hard for her to move, after that, her left feet and hands began to become stiff and hard to move in the morning, she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, she felt painful especially in the morning, it was hard for her to walk in the morning, 2 hours later, it was better. Her hands were swelling and malformed, the local doctors prescribed prednisone, Methotrexate, Chloroquine, calcium, vitamin D,  her disease was not controlled,. At present, her wrists and hands are malformed, she had contracture of left elbow, she walks slowing and limps, she needs others’ help of going up and down stairs. She wants further treatment so she comes to our hospital.
Her spirit is not good, her sleep and diets are normal, her urination and defecation functions are normal. She lost some weight.

Admission PE:
Bp: 140/92mmHg, Hr: 89/min. Her development was normal，she had good nutrition. There were no yellow stains or petechia on the skin or mucous. Barrel chest，the thorax was in symmetry. The movement range of her chest was reduced. The breath sound of her bilateral lower lung was low with no dry or moist rales. The rhythm of the heartbeat was normal. The heart sounds was strong. There was no obvious murmur in the valves. The abdomen was flat with no pressing pain or rebound tenderness. Her right shin and feet had pitting edema, her skin temperature is a little higher, she had contracture of left elbow, she was unable to move both wrists well, her ten fingers were swelling, painful and malformed, her ankles were painful when she moved, especially right one.

Nervous System Examination:
mental status is good, clear speech. Memory, orientation and calculation ability are normal. Neck is soft, no resistance. Muscle tone of 4 limbs are normal, muscle power is 5 degree, tendon reflex of upper limbs are normal, of lower limbs is lower than normal. Abdomen reflex can induced as normal. Lower limbs pathological reflex are negative.The meningeal irritation sign is negative.

Treatment:
After the admission, she was diagnosed with 1. RA (rheumatoid arthritis)
2. Upper breathing tract infection,she received 3 neural stem cell injections and 3 mesenchymal stem cell injections, she received treatment to repair the damaged synovial joints, nourish nerves, anti-inflammatory, ease the pain, adjust the immune system function, stabilize the organs function and improve blood circulation, etc.    

Post-treatment:
After 14 days’ treatment, her morning rigidity alleviated, she had less swelling of hands and legs, she felt the joints pain reduced, and the joints movement ability get better, her limp symptoms alleviated.
